Stairlift Installation Across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast

Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast are growing fast — but many of the region's most loved homes are older properties with staircases that become harder to manage as mobility changes. Whether it's a classic Queenslander with steep external timber stairs, a split-level home in the western suburbs, or a two-storey house in one of the newer developments, a stairlift can make the difference between staying in your home and being forced to move.

Bespoke Mobility is based on the Gold Coast and services all of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. We provide stairlift supply, installation, and ongoing servicing across the entire region.

Stairlifts for Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Homes

The housing across this region is diverse, and we've worked with most types of properties you'll find here.

Queenslander homes are one of Brisbane's defining features — timber-framed, elevated on stumps, with steep external stairs leading up to the main living level. Many older Queenslanders in suburbs like Paddington, Red Hill, Ashgrove, and Bardon have these high-set designs, which can become a serious access barrier. An outdoor stairlift rated for the subtropical climate handles these external stairs safely. Some renovated Queenslanders also have internal stairs to converted lower levels, which may need a separate indoor stairlift.

Split-level homes are common across Brisbane's hillier suburbs — particularly in the western corridor through Kenmore, Chapel Hill, and The Gap, as well as across parts of the North Side. These homes often have short flights of stairs between living areas rather than a single full staircase, and a straight stairlift on the main flight is usually all that's needed.

Modern two-storey homes across the growth corridors — Springfield, North Lakes, Caboolture, Ripley, and the newer Sunshine Coast estates — typically have standard straight internal staircases. These are ideal for a straight stairlift, which is the most affordable option and can be installed within hours.

Hinterland properties on both the Sunshine Coast and in the D'Aguilar Range west of Brisbane are often built on steep terrain with long external stairs or stepped pathways. Outdoor stairlifts rated for UV, humidity, and heavy rainfall are essential in these locations. Read our guide on indoor vs outdoor stairlifts for more on what's involved.

Servicing and Repairs

We provide stairlift servicing and maintenance across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Annual servicing is recommended for indoor stairlifts, six-monthly for outdoor installations. The subtropical climate in SEQ is hard on outdoor equipment, so regular servicing is particularly important for external stairlifts.
